Summary
Disturbances in bladder voiding make an important problem in patients with spinal cord injury leading to urinary system complications. The most frequent types of lower urinary tract dysfunction and the diagnostic methods are described. The correct diagnosis and proper therapeutic management, as well as early starting of intermittent catheterization, reduce significantly the incidence of urinary tract infections and other complications from upper and lower urinary tract in these patients.
