Summary

Creating models for social and vocational rehabilitation of disabled persons is a task in the social policy of government institutions. Does such a model exist and does it respond the needs of disabled people? To answer these questions one should analyze a situation of a local society. If we can not find positive answers and a disabled person with his/her family is on a margins of a social life, one should ask if this can be changed. The activities of government institutions should be verified in relation to existing law. In the article proposed are the evaluation methods of above mentioned problems and the first steps in developing of a local rehabilitation institution supporting disabled people and their families.
