About Medical Rehabilitation

Publication of the Medical Rehabilitation is under the auspices of the Committee on Rehabilitation, Physical Education and Social Integration of the Polish Academy of Science

"Medical Rehabilitation" is a quarterly journal that has been issued since 1997. Since 2005, an English version of the journal has also been available on-line. "Medical Rehabilitation" is a specialist journal predestined for persons professionally engaged in physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Physiotherapists and physicians specialised in rehabilitation, orthopaedics, rheumatology, or neurology primarily constitute the group of Readers.

In the printed version, we publish papers of Polish and international specialists, translations of articles from professional international journals and descriptions of research studies. Articles published in the journal pertain to various domains of physiotherapy and rehabilitation, standards of medical management, business organisation and management. We also publish information on new publications, conferences, meetings, workshops, rehabilitation equipment fairs, and on contemporary rehabilitation in Poland and worldwide.

The on-line version is issued in English and comprises translations of papers submitted to the Editorial Board by Polish and international specialists. This version is prepared in co-operation with the Higher School of Administration in Bielsko-Biała, since 2006 the co-editor of "Medical Rehabilitation".

The most important goal, which the Editorial Board currently aims at, is spreading of knowledge on modern medical rehabilitation and physical therapy as well as promotion of research development in these fields.
